Paul Heppell is a Sydney-based father of three very energetic boys.

As a child he experienced an epiphany that doodling spacemen, dinosaurs and superheroes trumped times tables. Not much has changed. This philosophy has sustained him from a Masters in Egyptology through to the retail sector spreadsheets that currently fill his days.

Paul’s evolving body of work, Birds in Suits, embodies everything he loves about drawing – sartorial anthropomorphism, the fantastical and most importantly, a sense of humour.
